Linda and Carrie's
EXCELLENT Adventure!

Rosemont was such a blast that it's really going to be hard to combine it all in one article but we'll try!.  I guess the best way to do this is to just start at the beginning…
Some of us started arriving on Thursday, Marlene Banninger, Carrie Moos, her mom, Carrie Goodnight, Sharon Lewis and Lindamoo.  We met, got a taxi and went straight to the Backdoor Store.  When we got there we were like kids in a candy store! Marlene and Carrie both said that Lindamoo could spot a Moo from a mile away.  We made quite a scene as we hollered from across the room, look what I found, look what this cost, is there more?!  For sure the Backdoor Store had some great bargains.  Lindamoo made the best find of the day; she found three prototypes MMM Halloween pieces from this year's series. She shared her find with Marlene and even offered one to Carrie. She also found just about the entire collection of the Noah's Ark series made by Mary Rhyner.  Lindamoo then tried to bribe a lady that worked in the store to let her into the massive warehouse.  That didn't work so she tried to bribe a man in the warehouse to let her in so she could look for more moos.  Unfortunately that didn't work either; I guess $20 was not enough, because both of them said no!
After about two hours of shopping at the Backdoor Store it was back to the hotel to unload our goodies, get some lunch and a cool Margarita.  Later that night June Terril, Vicky Grochola, Linda Dunning, Robbie & Kelly Wilcox and Randy & Debbie Phillips met up with us to have dinner in the Hotel restaurant.  There were eleven of us altogether and as the weekend approached we just kept getting bigger and bigger!    .
Friday was to be a do-your-own-thing day; some of us went to the retailer's show, some to the mall and other's went to the Backdoor Store to see if we left them anything!  Friday night was fun too!   First, all of us met for dinner and then several new people arrived and joined us, Sharon Rademaker from Holland, Missi and Sandi Seese and Jennifer Smith. We then went to Carrie's room to get our nametags, buy raffle tickets for the 50/50 drawing and buy the transfers and coaster sets.  It was nice to see the people we met last year and also great to meet members here for the first time. They didn't know it yet but they were in for quite a weekend!
Saturday was a very busy day that got started earlier than expected. Lindamoo made a wakeup call to Carrie's room at 5:40 am, no typo here, you read it right, 5:40 am!  She wanted to let her know that there were lots of people already lining up outside the Rosemont Convention Center, just to be first in line and through the door first.  Looked like we were in for a long wait after seeing that line so we decided to meet for breakfast. Then it was off to stand in line.  Actually, the line was really not as bad as we first expected. They "corralled" us into two separate rooms this year, much calmer and cooler than last year.  While in line we met new collector's, retailer's and moo friends. Doesn't time fly when we talk about our favorite subject?
When we finally got in, it was off to see Mary's new designs at her display in the Enesco booth. We all just fell in love with the "Cows of a Different Color".  They have to be one of our favorites for sure!  At about 10:30 am we started the line for Mary's signing after joining each other for a group photo.  Watching everyone get their pieces ready to be signed and the excitement in their eyes when Mary came over to talk to us before her signing was a wonderful

" I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the
wonderful Moo Hunt Club party last Saturday night.  I only wish you could have been there, well, actually you were in spirit (and in chocolate)!!!!!  Speaking of chocolate ... I just loved the candy you made.  I grabbed one of the large milk chocolate w/white chocolate spots and worked on that one for two days!!!  It was soooooooo good!  Also, all the door prizes were wonderful and the "moo"llinaire game was a hit.  I sure appreciate all the time you , Carrie , & Linda spend keeping our club updated and fun."

Have a great week!
