The flow of fans was pretty steady all day. In between mass amounts of collectors, I got to just hang out with Mary and talk. I then met Jennifer Stensrud, another moo member at the signing. She was there with her 2 children. I know she was very excited to meet Mary and to also get her picture taken with her. Just before 1 o'clock Carisa and her mother in law arrived to see Mary. Carisa made it just in time before Mary was leaving for lunch break. Carisa and I admired the prototypes through the window together. She was also excited to see the prototypes.
When Mary returned from lunch, several more collectors were lined up to see her. Jim and Anne Schmelzle arrived; it was great to see them again. Jim packed up several moos for Mary to sign but silly Jim brought one that Mary signed in Rosemont. Next time Anne you are going to have to pack the moo's up! Anne was having just as much fun as I was talking to collectors about the Moo Hunt Club and how helpful the club and our members are in finding the sought after moos.
Well, Mary was supposed to leave at 3 pm but being the kind person she is, she stayed until the last collector's piece was signed. Mary left around 3:30 and with a final hug goodbye, Mary was off to do just a little more shopping before she made her 6-hour drive back to Chicago.
I personally want to thank Al for inviting Mary to come to his store for this signing. Although I was a little skeptical about the signing being inside the store, I feel that it turned out perfect! I encouraged him to do the signing the same way next time. Also, Mary was able to sign a lot of extra pieces at Al's store, so if you were unable to attend the signing but wanted to buy some signed pieces, contact Al's Farm Toys.
Last, but certainly not least, a huge thanks to Mary for attending this signing. I know that I always enjoy seeing her and know her other fans do too. We appreciate the fact that she drove 6 hours just for us to have the opportunity to see her and have her sign our treasured collection.

Hi ,
The MOA was a blast! We got to see the 2002 prototype Moos (some of them). The Limited Editions for next year are adorable...we saw the one in the bathtub and the one with the couple and the camper/trailer! Very cute! Saw a few of the 2002 Dairy Queen (very cute) and the 2002 JD parade and tractor set. The tractors are very large and the cows are larger than normal, too.
We got more than 1 signed from home (no one was even watching). I bought 4 moos and brought 4 from home. Should have brought more. Next time I want to bring my big "Weee are moovin"!
Mary looked fantastic. Al even had some Moos on sale (I got 2 I didn't have already!) plus a Dairy Queen. Then I got
another one on sale, but I got home and already had it! GRRR!!!!  Carisa
