My parents both 93 years of age are still living several miles from me and I help them and take them to the doctors and to the store and to their other appointments
A divorced woman I raised four children on my own.
I am now a proud mother of four fine children and a grandmother of four.
My eldest son Vic is married and lives several miles away and works as a
computer specialist analyst and programmer His wife Marlene works for corporate office Sheetz. (She would always ask if there was anything she could do because she had an idea what I was going through because she had a relative that had to go through chemo.) They have a wonderful 4 year old soon to be 5 daughter Emma, she is in preschool. They also have a cute tiny dog Rigby
My only daughter Christine was a by my side as often as she could.
She was there a lot of the time during the surgery and draining part. Christine made me a special chemo treatment bag so I would have things when I would go for treatments is married for the second time. Her husband Chuck is recovering from a very bad fall off of scaffolding so he is not able to work. Crissy's son JP recently got back from boot camp as he enlisted in the Army but needs to finish his last year of high school. Crissy and Chuck also have a set of twin girls Mikasa and Maiya , they
just started the second grade.
My second eldest son Michael, works at the Roaring Spring Paper Mill and
recently tied the knot. He and wife Linda, who works in oncology has also been invaluable in my recovery. They live about a mile away and often walk up the hill to visit. They have a wonderful Labrador Retriever called Butcher.
My youngest son Joe, manages a Pizza Shop and lives at home with me. He
works 11 &12 hours, and has help in keeping the house going this past year when I've been down and out.
I have a sister Debby. She had made a lot of trips from Pittsburgh to help out. She is married to a retired Pittsburgh Police officer Conrad. They have a daughter Rebecca that is in the military, she is now stationed in Iraq. When she found out that I had cancer she ran right out and bought several books and got them in the mail so I could read up. I didn't have much time to read, but the books sure came handy from time to time. O yea, I think my sister made me 50 chemo hats, when she gets something in her head she runs with it!
I have a brother Lanny he works at Vetter Root he is married to Lynne who works as a distributor for M&M's Mars Corp. He has a son Allen whom lives in NY works in several hospitals and a daughter Wendy that is married to Christian and they work at a car dealership. Lynne has several children to her first marriage.
