protect bidders. If you buy "off auction" you lose the right to complain or collect on a deal gone sour. We have received several complaints and the best advice we can give is Buyer Beware! Here are a few more tips to protect you when paying for an auction. This information was in a Reader's Digest article recently and sent to us by Mary. a fellow Moo Pal: 1) Compare the address (url) in the browser to the real site's address. 2) Don't pay with a debit card - many lack the theft protection of credit cards. 3) Use the U.S. Postal Service's "Pay@Delivery" (uspps.com/paymentservices). You transact online but your money isn't sent to the seller until the item is delivered to you.

We recently asked for suggestions on making our chats available to more members, with thoughts of another day and time in mind. Unfortunately, we only received a couple of responses. If you have an idea or suggestion for the chats, email us and let us know. We appreciate the feedback and want to improve our member participation. Due to the holidays, we are suspending the chats for the month of November and December. This worked our great last year as everyone was busy preparing for the holidays. The chats will return in January and complete details of where and when will be posted on the January 2003 web site. "Hoofy" Holidays to Moo! Carrie and Deb :)
