Paulus, Kristina Woita, Dana Richards, Jenny Garnhart ROSEMONT OR BUST Are you ready to party??? Pack those moos and get ready for a moo-velous time! We are ready to meet you on Friday night and give out those cow-vention packets. By Saturday we'll be ready to see Mary again, many of you for the first time, which is very exciting. She is a delight! Our party on Saturday night promises to be one of our best. The party planners, Carrie and Linda, get better and better each year! I'll be emailing a schedule of events to those on our list. If you haven't let us know you'll be joining us, do so today so we can get your name tag made. If you've pre-paid for your cow-vention packet, you will be receiving a separate email receipt next week. The deadline for the "early bird" price of $35 dollars is June 15th. Remember the price at the door is $40 per person. If you are bringing a guest we need to get their name so we can make them a name badge. Most of you have already done so, but if not, please do asap! That's about all for now...see "moo" soon! Carrie MOO MANIACS CHAT The "CHAT" is Back!!! WE'VE GOT NEWS FROM ENESCO This could be another segment of "Days of our Moos", as the main characters at Enesco have changed again. Deb and I were fortunate to "meet" the new Marketing Director for the Mary's Moo Moos line, through a recent conference call. He says there'll be a new series displayed at the show in June that will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Mary's Moos coming up next year. That's right...Mary's Moo Moos turns 10 in June 2004! They are also planning on switching from the co-branding themes (i.e. John Deere, Coke, etc) to sentiment driven themes as in the past. A few other ideas are in the works along with pre-signed pieces available later this year at a couple of retailer's and events. The only event that will have pre-signed pieces is the Cubs game in July. Fifty of the 10,000 pieces will be signed by Mary and given out at random, at the entrance to the game. Hope some of you are lucky enough to get one of these signed figurines. Details on other opportunities for signed pieces will be posted here and on the web site, as they become available. MOO MANIACS CHAT June 9th Chat The night started off slowly, but soon we were up to seven Moo Hunt Club members. It began with Cindy Butler, Tanya Merritt and Lynda Hall discussing the upcoming venture to Rosemont. Tanya is driving to Florida on Friday the 13th (be careful!) to pick up Mary Nicar to drive back to Georgia and wait for one of our latest MHC members, Gordyne, to join them from North Carolina. Then, it's onto Rosemont. Tanya claims to have what I affectionately call a "lead foot" and will there in about 9 hours. She also said her husband got her a radar detector for Christmas so that may help her travels a bit. Leemoo soon joined us. Sadly, she isn't going to Rosemont. She had the vacation time squared away, but since she and her husband are moo-ving in a beautiful new home, she is passing on Rosemont this year. We are really going to miss her and I for one, was definitely looking forward to meeting her! Mooleen joined us next. She has created a cow outfit for Rosemont, but didn't disclose many details. Just said it was a skirt, had cows involved (no-brainer there!) and had a LOT of stuff on it. I can't wait to see it and I am bringing a camera! She's also driving, but she's also driving 1,600 miles in her Moo Car. It's going to be great to see the car in person!!!! Soon after, Merry, Kathy Azure and Carrie joined us. Carrie only stopped by for a quick hit-and-run since she was on the way to a graduation. She left us with a bit o' information. Mary designed a 10-cow piece with a western theme. It's slated to sell for around $70. More details to come in the following weeks. It's scheduled to be at Rosemont so those of us going will see it there, but it is not scheduled to be for sale there. Carrie also said there would be a silent auction at Rosemont. Mary was kind enough to sketch a Moo Hunt Club exclusive sketch for Rosemont. Who will the lucky bidder be???? Mooleen revealed that she and Leemoo used to be neighbors. Mooleen cow-lected first and then Leemoo soon started to follow her lead…Smart Lady!!! They lived in NY only 5 minutes apart and met through the MHC. Mooleen also said she had to pack her MMM to move in 150 plastic tubs. That's a lot of moos! She also has about 116 Cows On Parade. BTW, check out her website and email her if you are interested in purchasing homemade shirts with MMM on them!
